As long as you or the recipient wears a size 50" pant or less you will be able to size this belt to your waist.
You simply cut the excess from the raw end of the strap that inserts into the buckle.

This is a beautiful belt. infinitely adjustable. Some days I like it tight. Other days loose. Sometimes in-between. No creases ever form like old belts. I will never go back to wearing old-style belts with holes ever again.
This belt is beautiful. The color is rich and the design is tasteful. I bought it with a rose gold buckle and the belt matches a watch strap and rose gold clasp on the watch. It is subtle and it brings the ensemble together. The ratchet mechanism is a tool which provides an exact comfortable fit and doesn't create those wear marks of a traditional buckle! You can let it out after Thanksgiving dinner or draw it in for a round of golf.
