How to Size Your Anson Belt
Takes about two minutes. No special tools required — just a regular pair of scissors.
Sizing Instructions
Insert Strap Into Buckle & Close Latch
Slide the raw end of the strap into the buckle from the back. Press down firmly on the latch until it clicks — make sure it's fully closed so the metal teeth grip the track securely.
The strap should sit flush against the buckle wall before closing.
Put It On & Measure
Loop the belt through your belt loops and fasten it at your preferred fit. Note how much excess strap extends past the buckle on the raw end — that's the amount you'll need to trim.
Tip: aim for about 1–2 inches of extra strap past the buckle after sizing.
Remove Buckle & Cut
Detach the buckle from the strap, then use a sharp pair of scissors to cut the measured amount from the raw end — the end that inserts into the buckle. Make a clean, straight cut.
Always cut less than you think at first — you can always trim more, but you can't add it back.
Reattach & Wear
Re-insert the trimmed strap into the buckle and close the latch. Put your belt on and use the ratchet to dial in your exact fit — right to left, with 30+ micro-adjustments available.
- Reinsert the strap into the buckle
- Close the latch firmly
- Repeat the process if still too long
A few things worth knowing
Always start by cutting less than you think you need. It takes 30 seconds to trim more — you can't undo an over-cut.
Always trim from the raw (unfinished) end of the strap — the end that inserts into the buckle. Never cut the finished end.
Once your strap is sized, any buckle of the same width will fit it. Mix and match freely — that's the whole point.
