Upon receiving your belt, use ordinary scissors to simply trim any excess material from the raw end of the strap that inserts into the buckle.

Dear Sir,---Upon delivery of my belt which arrived in very impressive packaging and with good instructions--The buckle also came looking as I had hoped when I purchased by the internet. Okay I now want to say that I did as instructed and put the buckle on the belt--then decided to use the belt---well it too me close to 25 minutes to get the buckle to release the belt--upon getting my trousers off I then fiddled with buckle that finally released to belt-I could see easily what it was meant to do and worked while no on my body--Believing I had all under control I once again used the belt on the pants I was travelling to Ireland. Well yes once again I could not get the buckle to release and once again I had to get my pants off with belt still unbuckled.Since I like the belt I will on my return to The States look for a different buckle. I write this not wanting to spoil your mood-and YES I can see how your buckle should work and does when I no longer have on myself.However, the thought of trying to take off at TSA screening and standing there like an idiot is just too much to risk.
I've had other belts similar to the Anson Belt, however, they can't even come close to the quality and workmanship of the Anson belt and of the buckle. I've thrown out all the others belts and buckle and will use the Anson belts and buckles from now. Super quality!!!!
