I bought the 1.5” classic buckle in two colors and a leather strap for my husband as a gift. He loved the idea of it, the ability to trim the strap to fit and switch out the buckle. It was difficult for some reason, to release the belt when he had it on. We had no problems when the belt was off. We joked that he better not have any incidents that required removing the belt quickly! It’s been a learning curve to use the belt and I’m not sure my husband loves it, he’s using it because I got it for him.
I purchased two of these belts and the hardware is good quality and the ratchet mechanism holds very well compared to cheaper ratchet belts I have purchased in the past. My problem is that I am overweight and I have some overhang on the belt buckle. The corners of the belt buckle dig in and make wearing the belt painful (and this is worse when sitting down). As a result, I only wear the belt for limited times when I am going out.
